marielle v jakobsons (formerly known as darwinsbitch) been heard in the West Coast, Argentina & Germany, and releases with Digitalis, Aphonia Recordings and upcoming on Students of Decay.  My second full-length “Glass Canyon” is composed of violin and analog synthesizers and will be out on Students of Decay in Spring 2012.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Together with multi-instrumentalist Agnes Szelag we form the electroacoustic duo myrmyr (myrmyr.net), and have performed around the Bay Area, the Northwest and East coasts. “The Amber Sea” album is out on Digitalis, and our second album ‘Fire Star’ is available now from Under the Spire Recordings.  We collaborate often with ensembles and individuals, recently performing with the SFSound Group, Unweathered Embers Ensemble, Helena Espvall, Derek Johnson, & Noah Phillips.

 

 

 

With Gregg Kowalsky Date Palms (datepalmsofpsalms.com) is a fuzzed out psych duo. The music is influenced by hot summer nights, classical Indian carnatic music, dub, Miles Davis. Our Debut LP Of Psalms is out on Root Strata and can be found at Thrill Jockey.  Our LP Honey Devash was released on LP by Mexican Summer August 2011 and is currently sold-out.
